Narrative Summarv of Operatina Exoeriences Unit 1 began the month of February 1998 at 0% of rated thermal power (RTP) while performing a planned maintenance outage to repair the HPCI exhaust valve and address an increase in unidentifiexf drywellileakage.
On February 4,1998 at 0213 hours0.00247 days <br />0.0592 hours <br />3.521825e-4 weeks <br />8.10465e-5 months <br />, the reactor mode switch was placed in start up.
On February 5,1998 at 1221 hours0.0141 days <br />0.339 hours <br />0.00202 weeks <br />4.645905e-4 months <br />, the reactor was scrammed to perform repairs on the HPCI pump discharge valve.

Unit 1 ended this month operating at 94% RTP due to the end of cycle coast j
down and the #2 jet pump problems.

Narrative Summarv of Operatina Experiences Unit 2 began the month of February 1998 at 100% rated thermal power (RTP).

Power was restored to 100% RTP at 0239 hours0.00277 days <br />0.0664 hours <br />3.95172e-4 weeks <br />9.09395e-5 months <br />.
On February 8,1998 at 0001 hours1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />, power was reduced to 87% of RTP for scram time testing of 6 control rods and main turbine valve testing. Power was restored to 100%
RTP at0304 hours.
