hanging Handi-Wrap on the tube sheets .

Leaks could not be identified by this method; a Science Applications, Inct, representative was contaceed to come in and use helium to find the leaks.

This waterbox was returned to service and leaks con. trolled with sawdust until the vendor could get on site to identify leaks.

were identified as leaking. These tubes were plugged and the condenser returned to satisfactory service.

SUMMARY

BRUNSWICK NO. 1 Brunswick Unit No.1 operated at a 73.2% capacity factor for the month of March.

The following changes and shutdowns occurred during the month:

March 4: Power was reduced to leak check the condenser waterboxes.

March 8: Power was reduced again to leak check and repair condenser waterbox 1B-North.

March 23: The Reactor scrammed because a stuck pen recorder gave erroneous water level indications.

March 26: The unit was separated from the grid due to examine drywell floor leakage.

March 31: Reactor SCRAM because of an apparent loss of 1D Bus.

Monthly availability factor was 87.3%. The unit is expected back on line April 3.
