Dear Sir or Madam:

In accordance with 10 CFR 72.44(d)(3) and Certificate of Compliance No. 72-1029, Amendments 0 and 1, Technical Specification Section 5.2.3(c) , Southern California Edison (SCE) is providing the Annual Radioactive Effluen t Release Report for the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).

The period of the report is January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 .

The dry shielded canisters are double seal welded and designed to meet the criteria of Interim Staff Guidance-18 and thus prevent effluent releases . In addition , we have completed in-process inspections and tests during the fabrication and sealing of the canisters in compliance with the amendments to the Certificate of Compliance stated above. On that basis , SCE is reporting there were no releases of principal radionuclides in liquid or gaseous effluents from the SONGS ISFSI to the environment in 2010.
