Dear Sir or Madam:

In accordance with 10 CFR 55.25 and 10 CFR 50.74(c), Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) provides notification that effective August 26, 1999, a Reactor Operator licensed on the Harris Nuclear Plant no longer meets the requirements of 10 CFR 55.21 (Medical examination).

The name, docket number, and license number for the individual is included in the enclosure to this letter. CP&L requests that the subject license be terminated.

CP&L requests that the information contained in the enclosure be exempt from public disclosure under the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6) since disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
