PURPOSE: To discuss the topics associated with Duke Energy's and Progress Energy's Pilot Programs to transition Oconee Nuclear Power Station and Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant to the risk-informed, performance-based fire protection regulation in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50.48(c), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 805 Rule.
