Bailly is located next to Gary and within 30 miles b #

of Chicago, It is immediately next to the huge new Bethlehem rh Steel Plant.

It is adjacent to the Indiana Dunes National I.akeshore.

It sits only:

1,000 feet from six oil tanks with a 31 million gallon capacity, .

• 400 feet from a 450,000 gallon feul oil tank, 200 feet from a 16 inch natural gas pipeline and 150 feet from a 10-inch gas pipeline.

A fire in any of these installations vo uld necessitate the immediate evacuation of the Bailly plant itself, resulting in a loss of control over the reactor.

Evacuation from that area is impossible.

The roads are narrow, winding with impossible egress.

Issuing a license which endangers millions of people I

shows contempt for human life.
