Dear Mr. Ahearne,

I an a resident of Chicago, Illinois.

I an deeply concerned about the Northern Indiana Public Service Conpany's plans to build a nuclear reactor at the 3ailly site near Gary, Indiana.

I believe that this is not a safe and responsible location for a nuclear power plant.

In the case of an energency or accident, several million people in the Chicago area would be endangered.

I view it as ny responsibility to exzress what I believe to be the best interests of myself and ny fellow Chicagoans.

I view it as your responsibility as a public Q O3 official to take this letter into consideration when the S

.R.C. considers U.I.PSS. co's application to renew
