Dear Mr. Tedesco:

In response to a request by Mr. M. D. Lynch, Project Manager for Bailly, we are providing the following information which supersedes NIPSCO's response to NRC Question No. 13 in its entirety, and supersedes the last sentence of the last paragraph of the response to Question 14 submitted December 18, 1980.

Question No. 13 - NIPSCO has obtained information from the construction trade locals listed below regarding their current membership and jurisdiction:

Laborers Local #81 has 250 to 300 members. Local 81's jurisdiction includes all of Lake County east of Cline Avenue, Porter, LaPorte and Starke Counties in Indiana.

Laborers Local #41 has 1200 members. Local 41's juris-diction includes all of Lake County west of Cline Avenue in Indiana.

Electrical Workers Local #531 has 410 members. Local 531's jurisdiction includes LaPorte, Porter, Starke, Jasper and Pulaski Counties in Indiana.

Electrical Workers Local #697 has 1000 members. Local 697's jurisdiction inclus .s all of Lake and Newton Counties in Indiana.

Local 150, District 7, includes Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper, Pulaski, Starke and LaPorte Counties in Indiana.

Carpenters Local #1005 has 1000 to 1100 members. Local 1005's jurisdiction includes Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, Newton, Jasper Counties in Indiana and a portion of Berrien County, Michigan.

Ironworkers Local #395 has 400 members. Local 395's juris-diction includes a portion of Lake and Porter Counties, Indiana, bounded on the west by Illinois state line, south to U. S. 41 and east to 3 miles east of U.S. 421.

Sheet Metal Workers Local #303 has 600 members. Local 303's jurisdiction includes Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, Jasper, Pulaski and Newton Counties in Indiana.

Pipefitters Local #597 has 9500 members. Local 597's juris-diction includes a portion of northern Illinois and Indiana north to the Wisconsin state line, west to Joliet and east to the Indiana state line in Illinois, and Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton and Jasper Counties in Indiana.

Boilermaker Local #374 has 800 members. Local 374's juris-diction includes all of Indiana except Washington, Jefferson, Scott, Clark , Floyd, Harrison, Dearborn and Switzerland Countie s.

The total membership in the above trades is more than 17,000.

Based upon current demand for construction workers in the area, we would anticipate that the entire Bailly work force would be assembled from the above listed locals and would commute to the Bailly site from permanent residences.

Question No. 14 - N1PSCO will assure that the construction workers' shifts for Bailly N-1 are staggered such that they do not coincide with Bethlehem Steel Company's work shifts.
