This refers to your letter dated October 14, 1985.  !

On fiovenber 4,1985, Ms. Rhoda Roesch of the Richland Operations Office of the Department of Energy (00E) informed us of steps being taken by 00E to remove cxcess unirradiated (i.e., special nuclear naterial which nas not undergone n:utron activation) high enriched uranium (HEU) from your facility. As a result

of our conversation with Ms. Roesch, we have concluded that in all probability the excess unirradiated HEU fuel can be removed fron your facility within 120 days of the effective date of the Order. Therefore, you should be in compliance with the 120 day time restraint of the Show Cause Order.

Should difficulties arise which would preclude you from shipping the unir-radiated HEU fuel within 120 days from the date of the Show Cause Order, it will be necessary for you to re-apply to the Con,ission for an extension of time.
