University of Washington (UW) Research Reactor Decommissioning Project Budget Status
Dear Mr. Michaels,
' This letter is to confirm the conference call of October 13,1998 and the meeting, which was held on September 23,1998.
Due to the current budget constraints, the decommissioning will be accomplished in phases. Herefore, it is the intention of the University of Washington to amend the cmrent decommissioning plan. The amendment will include a revised schedule and an estimate for the remainder of the work. The amendment will be submitted, prior to the actual start of the first phase.
It is the understanding of the University of Washington that the contract for phase one can be awarded and the initial review process can begin while the amendment to the Deconunissioning Plan is being approved.
