ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO.14 TO FACILITY LICENSE NO. R-73 (REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.14 to Facility License No. R-73 for the University of Washington Argonaut Reactor. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your submittal dated October 6,1988 and to a subsequent discussion held on October 17, 1988 between Dr. W. P. Miller and inyself.
The amendment modifies your TS to allow certain surveillance requirements associated with operation of the reactor to be suspended if there is no fuel in the core.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation supporting Amendment No. 14 is enclosed.
