Y m 3 The Conrtission has issued the enclosed Arnendment No.11 to Facility Ocerating License No. R-73 for the Argnnaut-type research reactor in accordance with your filing dated January 16, 1980. The amendment revises paraarsph 3.B of

! the license to receive, possess and use up to 4.4 kilegrams of contained l uranium 235 in connection with the operation of the reactor. This reduces the possession limit fron 7.5 kilograms to 4.4 kilograms. In addition, the

l. amendment authorizes storane of 3.5 kilograms of contained uranium 235 at a Deoartment af Energy facility.

The Commission has' issued the enclosed Amendment No.11 to Facility Cperating License No. R-73 for the Argonaut-type research reactor in accordance with your, filing dated January 16, 1980. The amendment revises paragraph 3.3 of, the license to receive, possess and use up to 4.4 kilograms of contained uranium 236 in connection wi .h the operation of tht: reactor. This reduces the possession limit from 7.5 kilograms to 4.4 kilograms. In addition, the amendment authorizes storage of 3.5 kilograms of contained uranium 235 at a Department of Energy facility.

A copy of .the'related Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
