Dear Mr.' Stolz:

The above subject letter together with the requirements set forth in section 5.2.5 of NUREG 0309, (Skagit Safety Evaluation Report), and the Supplement 1 thereto have been the focus of considerable assessment by Puget Power.

The purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC that Puget Power does commit to the installation of a state of the art Loose-Parts Monitoring System on Skagit. The detailed information regarding the system will be submitted in the Final Safety Analysis Report.

With this transmission we consider our response to be complete. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please do not hesitate to call on us.
