SUMMARY

OF THE JULY 14, 2016, PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE REGARDING BRAIDWOOD NUCLEAR POWER STATION

On July 14, 2016, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public open house to discuss the 2015 annual assessment results for Braidwood Nuclear Power Station at Braidwood City Hall. The purpose of the open house was to provide an opportunity for the public to discuss NRC activities, nuclear power issues, and Braidwood Nuclear Power Station performance for the period of January 1, 2015, through December 31, 2015. The NRC letter and meeting notice for this open house can be found in the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML16172A2 95 and ML16172A298 respectively. Enclosed are attendee lists for the meeting.

The NRC provided discussions related to the NRC's assessment of Braidwood Nuclear Power Station performance, which was documented in the March 2, 2016, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML16060A252). As part of this open house, both Exelon and Illinois Emergency Management Agency representatives were also available to address questions and concerns. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials.
