| | This refers to the inspection intended to promote public health and safety conducted by |
| | Messers. P. Patnaik and 11. J. Kaplan of this office from November 30 to December 4,1992, |
| | at the 11addam Neck Nuclear Power Plant in lladdam, Connecticut. The findings of this |
| | inspection were discussed with your staff on December 4 1992, by the above inspectors at |
| | the conclusion of the inspection. |
| | This inspection focused on the engineering and technical support area to evaluate its |
| | effectiveness in coordinating activities related to design changes and modifications and in |
| | resolution of technical issues, with emphasis on staffing and training of engineers in the plant |
| | engineering and in the corporate engineering organization. |
| | Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and |
| | representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector. Within |
| | the scope of the inspection, no violations were observed and, therefore, no response to this |
| | letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated. |

This refers to the inspection intended to promote public health and safety conducted by
Messers. P. Patnaik and 11. J. Kaplan of this office from November 30 to December 4,1992,
at the 11addam Neck Nuclear Power Plant in lladdam, Connecticut. The findings of this
inspection were discussed with your staff on December 4 1992, by the above inspectors at
the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection focused on the engineering and technical support area to evaluate its
effectiveness in coordinating activities related to design changes and modifications and in
resolution of technical issues, with emphasis on staffing and training of engineers in the plant
engineering and in the corporate engineering organization.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector. Within
the scope of the inspection, no violations were observed and, therefore, no response to this
letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter is appreciated.
