Enclosed for your information is a status report summarizing the events at the Florida Power Corporation, Crystal River Unit 3 Plant as related to the burnable poison rod separation from its respective fuel assembly and subsequent recovery from that event. Also includeo is a schedule of report submittals to the NRC documenting the final investigative results and analyses to justify continued operation of Crystal River Unit 3.

This report is not intended to respond to questions transmitted in your letter of May 2,1978. - Detailea responses to Part 1 of your request for information will be submitted May 15, 1978.

Our final submittals, given in the attached summary, will address questions given in Part 11 of your May 2 letter.
