C April24,1989ND3MNO:1867Page2Thesurveillanceprocedurewasimmediatelyrevisedtoreflectthecorrectsetpointvaluesandtheaccelerometertriggercircuitswerecalibratedtothecorrectvalues.Therewerenosafetyimplicationstothepublicasaresultofthiseventbecausenoseismicactivityoccurredduringtheentireperiodthehorizontalaccelerometertriggercircuitswereincorrectlycalibrated.Thetriggercircuitsfunctiontoinitiateautomaticmagnetictaperecordingoftheseismicevent,nootherautomaticplantactuationsaredesignedtooccurfromatriggercircuit.Inaddition,theverticalaccelerometertriggercircuitswerecorrectlycalibratedandoperationalthroughouttheentiretimeperiod.Verytrulyyours,T.P.NonanGeneralManagerNuclearOperationsJT/cjAttachment
