REVIEW OF PALISADES SEC"RITY PLAN (REVISION 40)

Dear Mr. Bordino:

This letter acknowledges recolpt of your letter dated February 12,1998, which transmitted changes identified as Revision 40 to the Palisados Security Plan, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).

Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the overall offectiveness of your security plan and after limited review of the chbngos, no NRC approvaiis required in accordance with 50.54(p). Implomontation of those changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that the chan003 have not decreased thi overall offectiveness of your security plan. ,

The onclosure to your letter contain Safogua-ds information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and will be withhold from public disclosure, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.700 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
