REVIEW OF PALISADES GAFEGUARDS SUITABILITY, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION PLAN (REVISION 17)

Dear Mr. Bordine:

This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated December 18,1997, which transmitted changes identified as R ivision 17 to the Palisades Safeguards Sultability, Training and Qualification (ST and Q) Plan, submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).

Based on your deteiniination that the changes do not decrease the overall effectiveness of your safeguards ST and O plan, and after limited review of the changes, no NRC approval is required in accordance w2h 50.54(p). Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that the changes have not decreased the overall effectiveness of your safeguards ST and Q plan.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
