Re: Oyster Creek: Summary for 11/5/13 call regarding 2013 sea turtle takesThank you for the summary. We have reviewed the number of incidental takes of sea turtles at Oyster Creek for 2013 (given the cool weather and the date, we do not anticipate any additional takes in 2013) - while the number of takes is higher than the long-term numerical annual average it is w ithin the range of annual takes that have occurred in the past and were considered in the la st Opinion. It does not appear to represent any new information. We believe this correspondence fulfills the term and condition that requires NMFS and NRC to discuss takes of sea turtles when they are higher than the long-term average.

: Julie, Thanks for talking with Dennis and me yesterday regarding Oyster Creek. I briefly summarized what we discussed in the attached call summary. You had mentioned that you would circle back with people at your office to ensure that others agree that there does not need to be any further action on either NRCs or NMFSs part for Oyster Creek at this time. We will assume that this is true (i.e., no further action needed) unless we hear back from you otherwise. Thanks, and as always, please feel free to get in touch with either me or Dennis if you have questions.
