The staff reviewed the Oyster Creek request for exemption from 10 CFR Part 73, AppendixB, datedJune 3, 2021 and have determined that the licenseehas provided the necessary information for a review of their submittal. Given the lesserscope and depth of the acceptance review as compared to the detailed technical review,there may be instances in which issues that impact the NRC staffs ability to complete thedetailed technical review are identified despite completion of an adequate acceptancereview. If additional information is needed, you will be advised by separatecorrespondence.
The NRC staff will endeavor to complete this review by June 29, 2021. If there are emergentcomplexities or challenges in our review that would cause changes to the initial forecastedcompletion date, it will be communicated during the routine interactions.
