CONFIRMATION OF VERBAL INFORMATION REGARDING STEAM GENERATORS (TAC NO. 69344)
The following provides the requested information.
On November 3, 1989 discussions were held via telecon between the NRC and Consumers Power Company regarding; 1) past quantification of primary to secondary system leakage within the steam generators, 2) recent training of Operations personnel for mitigating, a steam generator tube rupture incident and 3) the configuration and content of Palisades Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP) with respect to main steam line break and steam generator tube rupture incidents. At the end of these discussions, Consumers Power Company was requested to provide written confirmation of the verbally trans-mitted information. The following provides the requested information.
Primary To Secondary System Leakage Since mid 1975, calculated primary to secondary leakage has been less than 0.50 gallons per minute during periods of Plant operation.
