SUMMARY

OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH PUBLIC SERVICEENTERPRISE GROUP NUCLEAR, LLCOn April 23, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., an annual assessment meeting was conducted between theNuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Public Service Enterprise Group Nuclear, LLC (PSEG) at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn, Swedesboro, NJ. The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance at the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations for the period between January 1 through December 31, 2006. The NRC presentation for the annual assessment meeting included information on the ReactorOversight Program (ROP), an overview of national ROP results, and the results of NRC's performance assessment for Salem and Hope Creek. As part of this regulatory performance meeting, PSEG presented its perspective regarding the plant's performance and operational goals for 2007. At the end of the meeting between the NRC and PSEG, NRC officials answered questions from the public and local media.The NRC presentation slides, PSEG presentation slides, and handouts provided at the meetingare attached or can be located in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management Systems (ADAMS) by referring to the package accession number, ML070851349.
