Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) committed to staff the Hope Creek Off-Site Safety Review group, and stated in part; "*** This vacant position is expected to be filled by June 30, 1996." In accordance with PSE&G's commitment management program and the Nuclear Energy Institute guidelines for managing commitments, PSE&G hereby notifies the NRC that PSE&G is revising its commitment to fill the vacant Off-Site Safety Review Engineer position by June 30, 1996. PSE&G has exhausted its internal search for a qualified associate to fill the vacant position, and has initiated actions to fill the position with an external candidat In parallel to this effort, PSE&G is searching for a qualified contract candidate to fill the position at the earliest opportunit Based on this ongoing effort, PSE&G expects to have this position filled no later than August 31, 1996.
