DPR-24 and DPR-27 Initial Operator License Examination

NRG to NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC dated December 18, 2018 In accordance with the requirements listed in the referenced letter, NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) is submitting the initial license examination for the Point Beach Nuclear Plant. This submittal is made in accordance with the provisions of NUREG-1021, "Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors," Revision 11 .

The initial license examinations are scheduled for the weeks of July 15 and July 22, 2019. The following materials are enclosed:

  • One (1) Form ES 301-3, Operating Exam Quality Checklist
  • One (1) Form ES-301-4, Simulator Scenario Quality Checklist
  • Three (3) Forms ES-301-6, Competencies Checklists (one each for three teams)
  • Nine (9) Administrative JPMs
  • Four (4) TR-AA-230-1007-F14 Forms, Simulator Exercise Guides, equivalent to Form ES-D-2 Required Operator Actions (one for each scenario, including spare scenario)
  • One (1) ES 401-6, Written Exam Quality Checklist
  • One (1) RO Written Exam Key equivalent to Form ES-401-5 with Seventy Five (75) RO questions, along with supporting procedures, and one (1) RO Written Exam (ready to give).
  • One (1) SRO Written Exam Key equivalent to Form ES-401-5 with Twenty Five (25) SRO questions, along with supporting procedures, and one (1) RO Written Exam (ready to give).

Pursuant to the provisions of NUREG-1021, Revision 11, these materials shall be withheld from public disclosure until after the examinations are complete. ~~
