POINT BEACH NRC 2022-0004 10 CFR 50.54(q) 10 CFR 72.44(f)
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(5) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) hereby submits a description of changes to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP)
Emergency Plan and a summary of the analysis demonstrating that the changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the plan. The plan continues to meet the requirements in 10 CFR 50 Appendix E and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b). The changes were incorporated in the following procedures issued January 26, 2021 at PBNP:
EP 5.0, Organizational Control of Emergencies, Revision 69 EP 6.0, Emergency Measures, Revision 68 EP 7.0, Emergency Facilities and Equipment, Revision 71 EP Appendix M, Matrix for Emergency Preparedness Equipment, Revision 12 Description of Changes and Summary of Analysis EP 5.0 was revised to replace pagers with the Electronic NARS System.
EP 6.0 was revised to replace paging system with the Electronic NARS System.
EP 7.0 replaced EMnet phone system with Electronic Notification System.
EP Appendix M removed SBCC for decontamination facilities. Replaced ERO Automated Notification System with ERNIE - Emergency Response Notifications of Incidents and Events. Replaced ERO Pagers with Corporate Emergency Response Notification System.
These changes were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3). These changes were determined to not reduce the effectiveness of the PBNP Emergency Plan.
