However, the Point Beach Nuclear Plants are already degraded due to age. I believe nuclear energy has to be part of the solution to deal with climate change, so I'm not anti-nuclear. However, I have been in Ukraine and seen the catastrophic effect of a nuclear accident. You don't get to do a "do-over" once an accident happens. Given the age of the plants it would be far better to decommission them and build new plants with the better and more reliable contemporary technology. Thank you.
