NEENAH, WI, 54956 Email: noheaecs@gmail.com Phone: 9202173049 General Comment I do not live within a 50 mile radius of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, but I do regularly use land within that radius to walk and train my dogs (specifically, High Cliff State Park). In case of a nuclear reactor accident, how would people throughout that area be notified? What would be the immediate and long-term effects on human, animal, and plant life? How would it be determined which areas were habitable by humans, and how would people whose land was uninhabitable be compensated for their losses. Would there be any plan to replace public lands like state parks, because our existing state parks are already heavily used, so the loss of a park in our area would be significant loss. Would there be risks to hunters who harvest animals who are contaminated with radiation in the area? As a physician also,I am very concerned about the possibility of significant harm to human health. I believe there are many other important questions regarding this plant. I also believe that with much safer sources of energy available (we buy all our electricity in the form of wind power), I doubt this plant is needed anymore.
