Kalamazoo, MI, 49006 Email: Singinghorse40@hotmail.com Phone: 2692711375 General Comment I am concerned we are endangering our childrens lives by risking water, land and wildlife contamination due to the history of problematic incidences at the Point Beech Nuclear Reactor in Wisconsin.

Problematic history at this site includes internal contamination due to the 1996 cask incident as well as tritium leaks. There is danger of high water levels eroding this site. There is no proof that this reactor is not embrittled and since the request is to operate this plant long after it was designed to, it only increases the risk. We as a species can not afford to contaminate what is one of the largest sources of surface fresh water on the planet.

Decisions made now will effect generations due to the long term need to safely store nuclear waste. It is a poor decision to continue to create more waste when we have many viable, safe and cost effective options. Please look into decommissioning and safely closing this site so that there are adequate funds in the industry to do so and Wisconsin doesn't get left holding the bag for the cost of a contaminated, unusable site which would not be good for the economy.
