I am writing this statement in support of Point Beach license renewal. As you already know, electric power from nuclear energy is necessary to maintain grid stability and provide reliable, 24/7, rain or shine, warm or cold, day or night, electronic power for the consumer and large economic benefits to a valued Wisconsin community. I retired from Point Beach after thirty-two years and as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2150 I am still proud of being part of a successful, safe generator of clean, reliable electricity.

There are those, many from outside our community, who try to destroy what they think is an atrocity and will do their best to architect changes consistent with their point of view regardless of facts, reality, history, and cost to consumers to satisfy their agenda. Point Beach evaluated all aspects of its construction and impact prior to construction, during power operation, and will continue to evaluate its operation to ensure the public and environment remain safe.

Your support of the Point Beach license renewal will add years to grid stability, reliable and safe source of electricity, and continued economic development. Thank you.
