As a retiree of NextEra Energy and a former Mechanic/Electrician at the plant from the 1990s through my retirement in 2014...I was intimately familiar with Plant and its systems. Over the years systems have become more reliable as systems have been upgraded. I feel one of the biggest assets at Point Beach is a professional workforce who care deeply about the plant and the community we serve....and I only see the commitment growing stronger. Point Beachs safety and reliability is a source of pride for employees and retirees. Recent events in Texas have shown that a reliable zero emission base load power plant is critical for our Nations safety and security! In closing....I whole heartedly support license renewal of Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
