Report Month: April, 1989 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES At the beginning of the month, the unit was operating at 100% power.

On 5 April, the unit. tripped off line during. protective relay testing-on the off site electrical distribution system. The reactor was taken critical later in.the day.

On 6 April,.the main generator was phased to the grid and power raised to'100%.

On 29 April, power was reduced to 75% for turbine valve and excess flow check valve testing, and mussel control. The unit was returned to 100% power.

The unit was maintained at.100% power for the remainder of the month.
