SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES At tne beginning of the month, the unit was operating at 99% power.

On 1 August, power was reduced to 89% for a 4 hour4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> period tc perform turbine valve tetting only.

On 12 Aagust, begin and of cycle coastdown.

On 13 August, a reactor and turbine trip occured due to a fault on output transf orsoer X-1 A.

a On 18 August, the reactor was brought to criticality and the unit phased to the grid.

On 19 August, power was increr. sed to 57%.

On 23 August, power was increased to 499 MWe and operation continued uning one output transformer while spare transformer X-1S was positioned On beplace transformer X-1A. power was reduced to 30% and the unit taken offline while to 7 August, X-1S was connected to the generator.

On 28 August, X-10 failed due to an internal fault. Power was reduced to 2X.

On 31 August, the unit was phased to the grid using one output trcnsformer and power increased to 499 MWe.

Op: ration with one output transformer continued for the remainder of the month.
