Dear Mr. Scott:
This is in response to your question raised at the January 16, 1987 meeting held in Bethesda, Maryland with the NRC staff and other State representatives on the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS).
I have listed below for your information the implementation status of the Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) for New Jersey's nuclear power plants.
I Plant Project Manager Status Hope Creek David Wagner SPDS is implemented; however, (301) 492-9418 four additional parameters to be installed after next refueling outage (scheduled for 1/30/88).
Salem 1 & 2 Don Fischer SPDS should be implemented by
'O (3ot) 492-7317 7/87.
Six month delay due to folding of contractor.
l Oyster Creek Jack Donohew SPDS implementation by 12/31/87.
(301) 492-9421 Hardware is on site; software being developed; testing to follow.
Please feel free to call upon the designated Project Manager for updates on implementation schedules.
Also, as discussed in the January 16 meeting, our contractor's assessment of current utility systems to support the ERDS at each reactor is still ongoing and will be provided to you upon its completion.
