'; System (ERDS). As I discussed with you a teatr of two individuals (Michael Hawkins, NRC, SSN M9 952-7799 and Ken Loposer, Comex, SSN 424-22-0424) 1 {

j will be arriving at your facility at 9:00 a.m. on August 12, 1986 to conduct the survey. If acceptable we will start with a brief introductory-meeting followed by the survey of your available data and computer (3 characteristics. For your information, I am enclosing a list of the individuals we expect f we need to speak' with and -a copy of the ERDS survey 1 checklist to be used during the visit. Please realize that not all items on the checklist VL11 npply to your facility. It deals with a broad 5 spectrum of systras, because it was intended to cover all licensed nuclear

l j It is recognized that the key disciplines necessary to support the ERDS a survey will represent different departments and organizational relationships unique to each utility surveyed (e.g., Corporate vs. Plant Site Engineering staff). It is believed that most of the appropriate personnel will be the same as those on the project teams for SPDS and Emergency Response Facility Data Acquisition System development.

] The appropriate utility manager to coordinate the ERDS site survey is I likely to be the same individual who is responsible for SPDS, RG1.97 or 4

i ERF upgrade programs. The approximate man-hours for each site survey are based on a 1 1/2 to 2 day survey for a single site or a two unit site i where both units are identical and a common Data Acquisition System has been installed at a common TSC or EOF.
