Dear Hr. Wike:

4 This is to confirm our intent to conduct a survey of your emergency data j

system capabilities for possible use as part of an Emergency Response Data 1

System (ERDS). As I discussed with you, a team of two individuals (one NRC and one contractor) will be arriving at your facility at 9:00 a.m. on October 14, 1986 to conduct the survey.

If acceptable, we will start with a brief introductory meeting followed by the survey of your available data and computer characteristics.

For your information, I an enclosing a list ij of the individuals we expect we need to speak with, and a copy of the ERDS survey checklist to be used during the visit.

Please realize that not all items on the checklist will apply to your facility.

It deals with a broad spectrum of systems, because it was intended to cover all licensed nuclear reactors. If you have any questions, please contact me on (301) 492-4155.
