DEMONSTRATION OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE DATA SYSTEM WITH LASALLE PLANT On August 13, 1985, the Office of Resource Management participated in a demonstration of the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) with the Office of Inspection and Enforcement, and others. RM/D expended approximately 60 1
staff and contractor hours to provide the software necessary for this demon-stration. Inasmuch as the contract for the design of ERDS is now about to 1
i be awarded, we wish to be sure that you understand it is not our intent to

develop any additional software in support of this demonstration effort.
Hopefully, it has fulfilled its intended function and the programs and macros will be replaced by those written for the ERDS contract. Any further develop-ment on these programs would seem to duplicate the efforts of the ERDS con-tractor. We hope this is consistent with your own thinking on this matter.
