CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NOS.1 AND 2, IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS On January 26,1998, the NRC and Baltimore Gas and 'ilectric Company (BGE), the licensee for Calvart Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 and 2, $ eld a meeting to discuss improved ,
Technical Specifications. Enclosed is a list of the meeting attendees.
On December 4,1996, BGE submitted a license amendment request to convert the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 and 2, Current Technical Specifications (CTS) to the improved Technical Specifications D. 5). The purpose of the January 26,1998, meeting was for BGE to provide additional supporting documentation to NRC staff on questions raised in requests for additionallnformation. The topics of discussien included a proposed change to ITS to claffy CTS definitions of Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System Response Time and Reactor Protective System Response Time to explicitly state tne current practice of performing response time measurements by means of any series of sequential, overlapping or total steps. The January 26,1998, discussion was documented to NRC on January 28,1998, in Revision 12 to the Calvert Cliffs license amendment request.
