SUMMARY

OF THE MARCH 19,1998, MEETING REGARDING CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NOS.1 AND 2, IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS On March 19,1998, the NRC and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), the licensee for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 and 2, held a meeting to discuss improved technical specifications (ITS). Enclosed is a list of the meeting attendees.

On December 4,1996 BGE, submitted a license amendment request to convert the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units Nos.1 and 2, current technical specifications to the iTS. The purpose of the March 19,1998, meeting was for BGE to provide additional supporting documentation to NRC staff on questions raised in requests for additional information. In addition, BGE provided NRC, Revision 13, dated March 13,1998, to the Calvert Cliffs license amendment request. Topics of the discussion included BGE comments on the draft Safety Evaluation (SE) and a listing of Calvert Cliffs amendments that have been approved by the NRC but had not been included in the draft SE. The approved amendments were included in the final SE, which was dated May 4,1998. -
