OF THE JANUARY 14,1998, MEETING REGARDING CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NOS.1 AND 2, IMPROVED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS On January 14,1998, the NRC and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), the licensee for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 and 2, held a meeting at One White Flint North, Rockville, Maryland, to discuss Improved Technical Specifications. Enclosed is a list of the meeting attendees.
On December 4,1996, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), submitted a license amendment request to convert the Calvwt Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 and 2, current technical specifications (CTS) to the improved technict.1 speci'ications. On January 13,1998, BGE brought to the NRC Revision 11 to their license arnendment request, which whs in response to NRC staff requests for additionalinformation (RAls). The purpose of this meeting was for BGE to provide supporting documentation to NRC staff on questions raised in the RAls.
The documentation, readily available through the public document room, was brought to NRC for the eviewing staffs' ready reference. This docementation inclucied informstion from the Calvert Cliffs final rafety analysis report, the CTS, and the technical specification task force proposed changes to the Standard Technical Specifications. The supporting informatimi included topics such as containment isolation valves, condensate storage tank, and reactor qv pressure system logic and trip initiatic n.

On January 14,1998, the NRC and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), the licensee for Calve;t Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit Nos.1 cod 2, held a meeting at One White Flint North, Rockville, Maryland, to discuss improved Technical Specifications. Enclosed is a list of the meeting attendees.
