During a meeting in RIV on June 30, 3980, between RC&ES Branch personnel and HL&P/ Brown & Root representatives, Mr. J. W. Briskin, HL&P, raised a question i

regarding the subject of this memorandum.

I informed Mr. Briskin, during the meeting and in a subsequent telephone call on July 1, that any significant construction deficiencies identified as a result of their effort to respond

to the order must be reported in accordance with Part 50.55(e), i.e., prompt notification to the NRC and a 30 day written report.

To avoid duplicate reporting, the order may make reference to a copy of a 50.55(e) report (s) appended to the order. This position was verified in a discussion with R. Shewmaker, RCI, on July 1 prior to my telephone call to Mr. Briskin later in the day to confirm my position taken during the meeting.
