We have reviewed the tape describing alleged deficiencies in the South Texas

~ Project (STP) construction and quality contro1' programs which was transmitted to you by J. P. Knight, DSS, on May 21, 1979.

Except for references to dis-crepancies in the reinforcing steel around the Reactor Containment Building equipment hatch, the tape appears to be a repetition of allegations from the --

fame individual which were previously received and investigated by IIV. We intend' to pursue the matter of the alleged reinforcing steel disempancies during a future STP inspection.
