REQUEST FOR INVESTIGATION ASSISTANCE PER REGION IV POLICY GUIDE NO. 348(4/9/80)- CONCERNS OF A PRIVATE NURSE IN REGARD TO QUALITY OF WORK PERFORMED BY DRUG USERS AT SOUTH TEXA5 PROJECT. UNITS 1 & 2. DN 50-498; 50-499 The concemed individual contacted the RIV office at approximately 10:15 a.m.
on September 9. 1980 in regard to quality of work performed by drug users at STP.
The individual stated that her exhusband had been fired twice from Brown and Root for use of drugs on the work site (neither job site was a nuclear power plant). She had overheard conversations between her exhesband and some of his friends who worked for B&R at the STP site in regard to drug usage on the site.
She stated concern about the quality of work these workers perfomed while under the influence of drugs.
A copy of pertinent infonation is attached.
It is requested that your investigatory staff investigate this matter.
RC&E5 Besoch will make personnel available to assist you in this effort.
