RESIDENT INSPECTOR'S COMMENTARY NOVEMBER, 1979 l
The resident inspection effort on site was'very limited during November in j
that the first week was largely one of recovering administratively from i
being in Region III and adjusting from the move of household goods the last i
week and a half of October.
In addition to these traumas, an alleger entered the RRI office on November 2, 1979, and made a large number of allegations.
At least four or five l
inspectors were involved with the allegations. Almost the entire remainder of the month was devoted to gathering additional information or participating in an investigative team effort. This effort has totally overshadowed the j
routine inspection program.
)
In a telephone conversation, = Mr. Hubacek and I agreed that he would come to i
the site the first week in December to assure that some routine work by the l
Projects Section personnel would continue.
Also, four Engineering Support i
Section inspectors were scheduled to perform routine inspection during November.
GTE has completed all telephone work except for the second voice line.
The 3M Company is now the holdup because they didn't order a coupler for the facsimile machine.
This episode has been almost a comedy of errors.
Please consider staffing the clerical position as number one priority.

j recommend that Billie Marie Darby be selected.
She appears to be better qualified than the other candidate because she is nature and has a better background.

On.a personal note, I would like to say the -last month has been very fatiguing because of the move from Chicago ~ into storage, motel life for 30 days, moving into a newly purchased house.and an investigation, all i

I have cancelled vacation because of work demands since early June 1979. The leave scheduled for December 20-January 6 will be a welcome rest for me.
I do not plan to write an inspection report for December since all that month will be devoted to the investigation or to leave.
