Additionally, some time was spent packing office materials in order to report to my new assignment on October 5.1981. Status of Bulletins The RR1 perforsed an inspection in the HLap Houston Office and on site.

DuM ng this inspection documented in NRC Report No. 81-32. the licensee's system for handling bulletins and circulars was reviewed.

Results of the review indicate the licensee has an effective system for handling the bulletins and circulars and action had been taken on bulletins and circulars applicable to the South Temas Project.

The RR1 reviewed individual bulletins and licensee responses for calendar years 1980 and 1981. All responses were c nsidered adequate. Based on this review the necessity of. NRC follow-up inspection to berify hardware corrective action and/or design changes was as follows:

Construction status Licensee construction work has continued to lag behind because of design problene. DuM eg this peM ed the licensee announced the replacement of the M ($rewn & Root)aand announced that Bechtel power Corporation would become E as well as assume QA and Project Management responsibility. This will occur dud ng the next twelve to eighteen months and will affect the schedule.
