j Docket No. 50-160-Ren In the Matter of ASLBP No. 95-704-01-Ren GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH REACTOR Atlanta, Georgia Facility License No. R-97 l
TESTIMONY OF GLENN CARROLL IN SUPPORT OF GEORCIANS AGATNST NUCLEAR ENERGY l This is the testimony of Glenn Carroll concerning the relicensing of the Georgia Tech Research Reactor.
The greater part of my testimony is contained within GANE's Perfected Responses to NRC Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents and Responses to Georgia Tech's Discovery Requests dated February 22, 1996.
In addition to the testimony given there in the opening comments concerning alternative options to decommissioning; answers to NRC interrogatories #21, #30, #35, #36, #37, #39, #40; and answers to Georgia Tech interrogatories #12, #14, I submit that the Director of l Georgia Tech's nuclear facility, Dr. Karam, made a material false statement under oath in Georcia Tech's Resnonses to GANE's Discovery dated November 30, 1995. GANE's questions #14 and #15 asked about the l presence of spent and fresh fuel on the premises. The answers given claimed that such fuel was not on the premises. Shipping papers dated 9605130058 960508 PDR ADOCK 05000160 1-O PDR g V3

< . j January 26, 1996, attest to the presence of the fuel in question on the premises during the time the statement was given under oath.
Making a statement true after the fact betrays the trust of the court.
Respectfully submitted, enn Carroll i Representative for GANE i
