j TURKEY POINT UNIT NO. 4 DOCKET NO. 50-251 INSPECTION OF SAFETY RELATED HYDRAULIC l

PIPE RESTRAINTS 1

~

Inspection of the safety related hydraulic pipe restraints inaccessible during reactor operation was completed on August 19, 1974 in accordance with the continuing requirements of the Directorate of Licensing letter dated November 8, 1973.

1 The plant was shut down at this time for repair of the 4A steam generator in which there was primary to secondary leakage.

I The inspection showed that all of the restraints were operable.

Eleven restraints of the Bergen-Paterson design had indicated i

fluid levels in the lower half of the allowable range.

Fluid j

was added to these restraints to increase the levels to the 1

recosumended values.

The inspection included a total of 50 restraints.

Thirty-four 1

of these restraints are of the Bergen-Paterson design and sixteen are of the Power Piping design.

Very truly yours, h
