This 'of fice has received notification that your- facility discharged oil or hazardous materials in- quantities that may -be harmful, in violation. 1 of Section 311(b)(3' of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments j of 1972, 33 U.S.C. I 1321(b)(3). Pursuant to Section 308(a), 33 U.S.C. - i 5 1318(a), you are hereby required to submit to EPA the following information.

Any person who violates Section 308 is subject' to a civil penalty of up-to $10,000 per day of violation 33 U.S.C. I 1319(d). Further, acy person who willfully or negligently violates Section 308 may be punished by a ';

fine of not less than $2,500, nor more than $25,000 per day of violation, or by imprisonment for not more than one year or both. 33 U.S.C. 5 1319(c)(1).
