4 g k>f Allen Bradley Control Switches On June 24, 1981, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) notified the Region II Office of Inspection and Enforcement of a potential 10 CFR 50.55(e) deficiency regarding the mounting of Allen Bradley Control Switches on two Modutronic control panels. This report supersedes the interim report submitted on July 27,1981(L-81-321).
The Modutronic control panels were fabricated by Staneco Corporation.
During fabrication, a slot in the panel was omitted which prevented the insertion of a locking ring. The locking ring prevents the switch housing from rotating when the switch is actuated. The control panels are for safety injection control valves FCV-3301 and FCV-3306.
A preliminary review of .the applicable control wiring diagrams and vendor drawings for the two control panels indicates that the Allen Bradley control switches are spares and are not utilized for any control function. Our review of this potential deficiency is not yet complete.
We now expect to submit a final report by August 24, 1981.
