Basic Engineers Division of National Valve and Mmuracturing Ccrpany has advised us of a potential probim with 3/4" and 1" pipe clamps manufactured by their firm. Cleveland Electric Illuminating Ccrpany has reported this to NRC as a 10 CFR 50.55e probim at the Perry Nucicar Station. The probim entails slippage of the clanp circtinferentially around the pipe due to conditions in installation.
Correction of the prob 1 m requires an increase in torque values for the clanp bolts which in scre cases may require new bolts and nuts.
